All of our servers are CentOS 5 Linux and use the latest release versions of cPanel, an industry-standard web hosting control panel that allows you to setup email accounts, create and manage databases, view server logs.

Backups

Backups happen at at least three different levels:

1. The datacenter backs up your data in the event of catastrophic failure (very unlikely!) on a daily and monthly basis.
2. The servers are configured with mirrored hard drives (in a RAID-1 or RAID-10 configuration) to protect against hard drive failure.
3. Backups are made on a rotating daily monthly and weekly basis on the server.

We have complete confidence in our backup system, but we always recommend that customers take additional steps to periodically back up their files locally. Itís the smart thing to do.
